The story behind the print
This was taken while I was working with the surf school I first worked for when I moved to Mexico. We were at the beach for an afternoon session with the clients. As the sun set, the warmth of the water felt like the tropical balmy water and the sunset light was hugging you. The way it felt on my skin, the way the colours reflected in the water and lapped around me, it felt like I was engulfed and hugged by the vivid sunset. It was such a visceral feeling and memory that I still have. The waves were breaking, and the colours of the sunset were mixing with the light and the textures of the water. I started to play with my shutter speed and slow things down. It became this dance, playing with the movement, light, colour and texture, bringing it all together. And this is what I got.
